CJ: Well, I love singing and I can sing the old folk song of “I Can’t Help What My Mouth Is Telling Me”. I can also sing, and sometimes it’s good, to sing to myself.
What do you like to do after work, besides playing the guitar?
CJ: It’s hard to find free time. I work as the office manager for a video game company. During days (of the games) I’m doing that, and then my free time is limited until the afternoon.
What do you like the most?
CJ: My favorite thing about being a musician is the community. It’s a group of people that are really together and that will help and talk to each other. My wife says that she wants to go out after work with other fans. I like that.
What would you like to do to get more people to listen to your music?
CJ: First of all, I’d like other bands to put their music on Spotify. Music is an important resource to share with people who you like or connect with. Spotify has become the place to look for new bands to listen to, but I think it should be better for new bands to get their artists on there. Also, I’m a big fan of music on Soundcloud, so if you’re in Europe, I would like to see it more on there! It’s really free to get songs on Soundcloud. When I listen to some of the songs, I’m completely blown away.
What’s next for a girl who’s had so much success?
CJ: I think that the songs just keep coming. I think when I’m done with this, I’m going to want to do a different version.
Have you ever had anything like this happen to you where you were so great friends you went onto a musical journey that you had to turn around?
CJ: I have been lucky to be able to work with good artists who have reached the peak of their career without having to stop.
Do you have a favorite song that you were able to put to practice in the past?
CJ: All my songs are different in one way or another. Some are more playful, like “Just One of Us” and some are more melodic and melancholy like “Dancing Under The Stars”. I really like the way each song develops in and out of the song and how I keep changing it
