I don’t remember a lot of things, but when I remember them, I can’t really remember where I was. Sometimes I’m on the beach in Brazil, and the next day, I’m in Mexico, and the next, I’m in Washington, D.C. I know some of the places by sight. I don’t have any knowledge of my own house or my siblings, my parents or my grandparents. I remember walking through the door of my mom’s place like this: “Mom?” I couldn’t make out the word, but I knew there was a bed in there. I could just make out my mom’s name. I never saw my dad, but I knew my brothers’ names: Charles, George, and Michael.
