Which woodworking tools should I buy first? – Woodworking Business For Sale In Canada

I know that you might have been asked that already, but I’ll be writing a follow up post here about my favorite woodworking tools list. And, yes, we’re still getting there! But the short answer is that we’re still figuring it out! We like a lot of great tools here at the blog and some really great ones are still coming down the pike. It’s a very personal call and one that most people go with what they like the best.

That said, I’ve done my own testing and found that if you’re looking at a lot of woodworking tools, one of the best ones first should be a good pair of router bits. They’re affordable and make cutting wood very simple. They can also be used for a lot of other projects, which is great when you have wood to use as a working platform, like this wooden desk lamp. If you don’t have any need for a table saw or table frame router set, I definitely recommend the bits, and I wouldn’t look at anything else for your first woodworking tool set.

Now that we have our first woodworking tool set, what woodworking tools should I buy for the second set?

Well, we’re going to start by looking at the other most important piece of woodworking tools. A nice quality belt sander, even if it’s a bit pricey, is an absolute must. It’s quick, and can easily take everything you’re building. The one downside is that a belt sander can be a bit slow, and there’s no way we can ever do everything all at the same time. When your home’s already packed full of projects all at the same time, the extra speed can be good if you can’t figure out how. When it’s just me and a few woodworking tools and a hand plane, that’s not really a speed issue. And the extra belt you get when you don’t have a belt sander can get very pricey!

But if you need something fast, and are willing to invest in one or two tools, you’re probably in a perfect place to get a Belt Sander. The only caveat is that you need a nice quality belt sander, as I mention before. Most belt sanders I’ve seen are made from extremely cheap materials that lack much of an aesthetic appeal. Plus, there are some bad stories of folks doing really bad work with those junk belt drills. It’s a bit of a tradeoff.
